My daughter is a vegetarian so I love that these are gelatin free, which is hard to find in gummy vitamins. These are made of fruit pectin and honey without artificial dyes. I have noticed that gummies made of fruit pectin tend to be softer and easier to chew than those made of gelatin - which is perfect for young toddlers who don't always chew their food properly.
I have been loving zarbee's products lately and would highly recommend.
- Toddler approves of all them and begs for one more.
- Best flavor smartypants
- Best price rainbow
- Best nutrient per pill rainbow light
With that said these are great just not as good as the other two but it is a great alternative.
Keep up with the consumers please!
The scent isn’t very good so I was worried it would throw him off but he likes them!
Zarbees is my go to for a medicine and vitamins.
Look no further! Buy these, you won’t regret it.
They smell awful- and I’ve never tasted them- but my kiddo gobbles them up for what it’s worth.
they’re all the same color so we can avoid any potential problems with a kiddo there, and like all gummy vitamins they are a bit sticky. All in all they do the job.
Last week, my nieces and nephews who are staying with us for a bit came down with a cold - runny nose, watery eyes, wet cough, etc. And none of my kids caught it. They were constantly with one another and we just figured it’s going to spread inevitably since we’re all cooped up at home...but nope! And my nieces and nephews are all better now - so I’m starting them on some as well ☺️
Taste wise my kids weren’t a fan, but honestly who cares lol They know it’s something that is good for them so they bite the bullet and I really think it’s proven itself!
The packaging however, is awful. Make sure you read the label before trying to open it! Once you tear it open the label print starts to shed everywhere. It's also static. I ended up having to tear the whole label off so it wouldn't get inside everytime I grabbed the bottle
Nutritionally they're the best vitamins I could find and I really really wish they would have worked out for us, but since you can't just buy the lemon or orange flavor ones exclusively I think we'll have to find a new brand to try.
We're not picky eaters, but just really didn't like the flavor.
I've tried them, and they chew very easily, so I don't worry about her not chewing them fully, or accidentally choking.
It would be hard to prove any actual benefit from them, but I wanted to supplement any potential gaps in her nutrition. She eats really well, not yet picky, so I don't worry too much. The most noticeable anecdotal change has been her hair, which really started to grow after she started these.
We don't eat sweets, so these probably take like candy to her. I do wish they'd not put sugar into every kids product -- I'm pretty sure kids would still eat them.
I asked my husband if he found them as repulsive as I did, but upon smelling them he thought they smelled and tasted good! He compared them to the flintstone vitamins (I also hated these as a kid) so I think these are very subjective. Regardless of my thoughts, my son loves them and that's all that matters!
So the 1st time I gave to my 2yo son, he had in his mouth for 1/2 a minute and spit it out. The second time he ate one, spit the other out. (Take 2 for one serving). The third time he ate both tentatively but still ate it! The fourth time he ate both willingly.
* A tip: I showed him the liquid (baby) zarbee version and the gummy version and asked which one he wants. He picks the gummy. :)
I put 2 gummies in a little bowl so he can pick it up and eat them one at a time. The sugar coating also doesn’t melt off in your hand, changing the flavor. I read some other reviews that this has too much sugar. But if there’s no other unwanted additives, how else will you get your kid to eat it!? I also give them after dinner and it doesn’t make him hyper before bed. So it’s fine with me!!
I’d also give them one at a time because I feel it could be a choking hazard if not chewed properly. I also have to remind him to chew and not just leave in his mouth. But maybe that’s just my kid. (Prob not.) Lol.
The immunity seems to be working for the 7 year old. She has had health issues for a while but since taking these she hasnt had a trip to the doctor's or ER....
Determine if you need an iron supplement as well, but otherwise these are great.
Ingredients: My child is not a vegan but note these gummies do not contain gelatin! They are also sweetened with honey instead of all the artificial sweeteners! I also like that they are allergen free: Wheat free, milk free, egg free, tree nut free, peanut free
Diet: While her diet is good, I cannot say it is complete. She definitely should eat more vegetables than she does. I like giving her multivitamins so that I know she’s getting the adequate good nutrition. The age of 0-5 is so important for brain development. As a parent, I want ensure that I provide good nutrition to foster that growth.
Taste: My toddler has no idea that this is a multivitamins. I use these as treats even when she goes to the potty! She enjoys the taste. I tell her these are super chewy so she needs to chew it well. She loves them! Keep this out of the children’s reach! You don’t want them overdosing on this because it tastes so good!
Cold and Flu season: As we approach the cold and flu season, I think it’s a great idea to keep these in stock. They do contain vitamin C (153%). My child does not get sick as often as other children. Granted, we do hand wash often and love our hand sanitizer. Regardless, I do think adequate nutrition + vitamins helps with decreasing severity of her sickness when she does catch a bug.
Con: The one thing I would change is adding Iron!
They smell like vitamins and honey so I know he isn’t getting just a clump of junk.
They are lightly coated in sugar crystals to make them appealing.
