Here is an update from the first review.... my husband is now in his second month of taking d-mannose and he has begun seeing improvements in his bladder health.... the pressure has decreased and the urine flow has improved....we have yet to see a full recovery but we will keep you posted as he continues to take this supplement.

I'd read about D-Mannose and decided to start a daily regimen, hoping to stem the constant outbreaks. I can honestly say that I've had only one minor episode in many, many months. For me, that's a major win. I also like the capsule form rather than the loose powder. Much easier to take.
Of course, everybody's different. I can't guarantee it'll work for others. But I'm very satisfied. It's reduced a medical issue that's driven me crazy for a long time. So based on my experience, definitely recommended.
Tried this and at first didn’t see a difference but after maybe a week or so I started to feel better. Soon I felt completely normal. It takes a little trial and error but I now take two of these twice a day, morning and night. LIFE. CHANGER. Some people will double up after sex but my standard dose seems to do fine every day.
My only complaint is that the capsules are kind of “sticky” the second they enter your mouth so I can see where that could be challenging for some. I just quickly chase with water and it’s fine but I definitely can’t take two at a time because they stick to each other! Gulp.
That being said, I LOVE this product and apparently will be using it for life. It has completely taken away all the UTI issues I was having. Highly recommend.
If your UTI is not resolved by this natural approach (14 days with 3 pills a day) then try some other antibiotic instead of cipro. It builds up a toxicity over your life time and each time you use cipro or any in its family of antibiotics you increase your chances of totally destroying your health the next time, even if your unscathed by cipro.

I looked at the ingredients on the Whole Foods drink and started researching them. The one that stood out was D-Mannose. So, I researched it and lo and behold! that was the trick. I went out to Florenmolamarts and found these pills and read reviews that sounded exactly like me and could have been written by me. So, I gave them a try and kept the expensive drink as a backup.
These pills work unbelievably well. When I feel a UTI coming on, I take two pills in the morning and two in the evening. Sometimes if it feels like it's a fast-moving UTI, I'll take another two pills mid-day. They have never failed to work for me. Never. One thing I will mention is once you start taking them, it may seem as if they're not doing anything the first day and even into the second day. Trust the pills! They are working and you'll probably start feeling better by the end of the second day. They WORK!
Pros.....amazing. Works immediately. I’ve had UTIs before and I’m not fond of peeing fire. I found this product last winter. It works fast!! I drank lots of water because I thought I was supposed to. NOW I found it’s best to drink a small amount of water and wait. Let the product bind to the germs. Then after an hour or more I drink water as usual, which is a lot for me.
Update: another UTIs came on me a few days ago. I had small amount of blood in my urine. And of course the pain, like fire, was there. This time I’m taking 3 at a time, 3 times a day. With the help of other reviews I realized that I should not drink so much and let the product work. What a lifesaver. No more dr. No more pharmacy.
HINT FOR SUCCESS: take two at bedtime and this will allow the product to really bind to the germs. You will sleep through the process without peeing out the product. This is important so the germs will bind and flush out ... the longer you can keep the d mannose in the bladder, the better it works. (I was drinking too much and peeing too fast and didn’t get the best effect.)
I’m going to take two every night just for maintenance.
It does ease the symptoms and has fewer side efx than AB's.

I've been using this product for over a month now and so far I've been infection free. When I feel the symptoms coming on (body aches, chills, frequent urination) I follow the emailed directions and literally by the next day I feel better. I can't speak for nobody else but it works for me and I hope it will work for you also. If you suffer from frequent UTIs you know the frustration that comes with it....The frequent doctor visits, taking antibiotics that beat up your body, and missing work. I very much appreciated that the seller sent instructions on how to take the capsules, as I'd been taking them with a lot of water. Once I began taking them as per instruction, I saw complete results. That is, take with a small amount of water and then about 45 mins later flush out the bladder by drinking more water. It was more effective that way in eliminating the e coli.
After 3 months of fighting with this recurring UTI, I am thrilled to have these capsules on hand. I am now taking two in the morning and two at night as maintenance.
Note: I was also prescribed Estrace [estrogen inserts] by my GYN, which I began 9 days ago [you use them daily for two weeks and then cut back to twice a week], which my urologist said is the best preventative for future UTIs. As I never had any until after menopause, that does make a lot of sense. So hopefully with the Estrace and daily maintenance doses of D-Mannose, I won't have more problems.

Post surgery, I experienced five UTIs in immediate succession. In my case, multiple antibiotic prescriptions were unable to control the infection recurrence. Consequently, I was referred to a urologist. D-Mannose was recommended at this time for my recurrent condition upon my learning that I had become antibiotics resistant. Also contributory, hand in hand to the prevalence of antibiotics resistance, we are now also exposed to a significant increase in environmental bacteria. My new regimen included D-Mannose (with cranberries), probiotics, additional cranberry food products and adding yogurt to my diet. Although all the above contributed to my improved health, D-Mannose was imperative to my continuing recovery regimen. I highly recommend this product for the circumstances of my medical condition, and I am very appreciative of this product availability!!
If you are doing a comparative analysis then take note that each capsule only has 600mg.
I was wondering why I was still having pain only to discover that they intentionally badly labeled the product.
My chiropractor at the time is not the only recommendation I have had over the years to use D-Mannose. The doctor who wrote "From Fatigued to Fantastic" recommends it for fibromyalgia & chronic fatigue patients, who for some reason seem to be unusually susceptible to UTI's, and goes into detail about why & how it works. More recently I was speaking to my MD about it. She said she had been recommending it to her patients for years.
I know I sound like a commercial but I'm really not. No one paid me for this review. I'm just a customer who has used this product for many years with amazing results. In my experience, D-mannose works faster, is cheaper and doesn't have the side effects of antibiotics.
