Highly recommend giving this a try for anyone who might be on the fence of buying it.
Giving 4stars because it is at least working great for my nails !
I got covid late in October 2021, which caused my hair to come out in gobs from what has been termed the "long-haul effects". My hair began falling out in early February...which was not good since I already have very fine hair as it is. I did some research, then found this product. It arrived on Feb 25th and I started taking it immediately.
However, I didn't know my sister had ordered something else for me. She sent me 2 bottles of Beverly Hills MD Dermal Repair Complex & wanted me to take it right away & let her know if it helped because it had a 60-day return policy. She could even send back the empty bottle to be refunded if it didn't work. Well, I stopped Revly and started taking that on Mar 16th, which lasted all the way up to May 13th. That product also has Biotin, but each capsule was only 2,500 mcg each & it said to take 2 per day. That equals the amount of taking 1 Revly capsule, which has 5,000 mcg per capsule & it costs a lot more! The Beverly Hills product has other ingredients such as saw palmetto. My hair did begin growing back during that time. I started back on Revly on May 14th when that ran out.
Here's where the story takes a turn: I got covid a 2nd time &, ironically, my first symptoms started on May 13th! I got my positive test results the next day. I then started the FLCCC's EARLY TREATMENT OF COVID-19 protocol. I decided to stop taking Revly during this treatment regimen. I started back on Revly on May 23rd & have been taking it ever since, ordering 4 new bottles of it in June. I have not gotten the hair loss again, nor any other long-haul symptoms. However, I will continue with the Revly through September, then stop.
So, in conclusion: Since I stopped the Beverly Hills product in May, got covid again, started Revly on May 23rd again, and my hair continues to grow, I can only assume that Revly works just as well...even w/o the saw palmetto. Also, my hair normally grows slow, & I think it's growing at a faster rate now. The hair that fell out initially hasn't quite gotten as long as the rest of my hair, but it's just about there. Remember, it came out at the roots.
This capsule isn’t hard to swallow. Hope it will help with my postpartum hair loss.
I will continue to buy. Fast service and great value for a great product.
Thanks!
Diane
Generally I wouldn't write a review for something like this, but I see many people talking about how their skin broke out and I'm not surprised, but I wanted to address it. It's NOT this brand of Biotin causing it. Biotin is like any other supplement. if you haven't built up a tolerance to the dose you're going to be taking, your skin will break out. Google it. It's very common. It generally clears up within a month or so when your body adjusts to the dose. While this isn't the highest dose out there, it's still a high dose. To put it in perspective, 100% of your daily dose found in a multivitamin would be 30mcg. 30! This is 5000mcg! I have an autoimmune disorder that causes hair thinning, so I worked my way up to the max daily dose of 10,000mcg.. very slowly and over time. And being that it's a hair and skin supplement, of course your skin is going to think "wtf?!" if you suddenly start taking super high doses.
If you aren't used to high doses of biotin, this isn't for you...yet. Start with the gummies you can buy at any store or on Florenmolamarts and slowly build up a tolerance to avoid skin breakouts. Biotin can be very beneficial when used correctly and this is a great value for a quality supplement! Just be smart about it.
Just remember, if you want to see significant change be persistent, have patience and do not give up.
I highly recommend this supplement for the price. Just make sure you take the whole 3 month supply before giving up onthe product. It's not gonna work miracles over night.
My nails went from being brittle and breaking all the time. To finally growing some length.
Took chance on these & miracle!! It took a couple of months of taking these & now I have strong nails that don't peel. Buy this
My usually thick hair was thin, fragile and unmanageable.
Within a month my nails strengthened and grew I. strong and healthy.
It took longer, but my hair is thicker and stronger.
very impressed.
Started my husband on them, and he is also enjoying positive results.
I can't really comment on hair or skin. My hair is already pretty thick and I'm always actively working on my skin . But it does have good ingredients (beside biotin) like green tea so I'll take all the help I can get.
The green tea is what you might smell in this very average sized easy to swallow capsule ( what's up with a few comments saying
it's large? It's not) and the caffeine in that might be what agitated one reviewer.
I’d been experiencing hair loss and tried a few topical things, but nothing worked. Thought I’d approach the issue from the inside and bought these on a whim. Within 2 weeks the shedding became minimal and as a bonus my nails, once fragile, need to be cut with a chainsaw! Unbelievable stuff. And so reasonable!
I started taking these 8 months ago. Normally, my hair does not grow fast AT ALL. Well, it is now! My skin looks great too. I definitely recommend these. And one thing I like about the Florenmolamarts brand is there are no “free bottle” offers for a positive review. This is my honest review and I’m not getting anything free for it :)
Unfortunately, I've always grown long, thick fingernails that I had to cut with toenail clippers. My nails still grow fast and look healthy but they're a lot more brittle and break easily. 🤷♀️
They are capsules which I find easy to swallow. These aren't too expensive, I like having them on subscribe and save, makes them a bit cheaper. They do work.
I originally gave it 2 stars because I am continuing to take it. I will update if anything changes.
My nails and skin have no change but I am noticing I have new hair growth and it feels a bit thicker. I am going to continue to take it and see what happens.
A little background--I was put on Accutane when I was a teenager, and as a side-effect my hair became very thin. For most of my life my scalp has been visible through my hair, especially in some types/angles of light. In the past I'd tried silica supplements, and they made it a little thicker, maybe, but made my nails much thicker, which was why I went looking for a supplement in the first place. I'm also a giant, so I've been taking one capsule twice a day (my doctor said it was fine for me).
I first noticed when I was standing in front of my mirror with the overhead light on, the angle putting it right behind my head, that I couldn't see my scalp through my hair. I'm not using any other products that I was not using before, and my diet has not significantly changed.
I don't believe that I've grown any new hair or anything, just that the hairs themselves have thickened.
The supplement itself is on the larger side and as I get older it's becoming more and more difficult for me to choke back the larger pills, especially gel caps like these because they like to get sticky immediately after you get a mouthful of water. So if larger pills are a problem for you I would say dump the contents of the capsule into some applesauce and mix it up. The bottle gives off a smell when you're getting out your supplement so that can be pretty off-putting as well.
I will update my review if I have any other issues.
My hair already grows pretty quick but I've seen a HUUUUUGE change in the strength of my nails. I am so impressed - they are like steel ;) I mean not really but they look amazing - are long and AMAZINGLY SUPER SONIC STRONG! After using this product. I've also suffered from a lot of acne and ever since I started to take these capsules - I've noticed the difference in the quality of my skin. I still suffer from the weather changes but overall I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!! <3 Love it!
I cannot attest to the effectiveness of Biotin itself, although I continue to take it. It may be a placebo effect, but it "seems" like my hair and nails are healthier after I have been taking it consistently for at least two months. I took off one star on my rating due to the additional ingredients in this supplement which are not really necessary from my own research.
It takes time to see effects, of course. But so far, so good.
I am a bit confused by this product. The front label doesn't say anything about biotin. Instead, it boasts that it's for hair, skin & nails, that is vegan. It isn't until you get to the ingredients list on the back that you discover that this is primarily biotin. The other ingredients that make up the "complex" part of the hype don't have much, if anything, to do with hair, skin, or nails so I'm guessing they were just added to differentiate this product from the competitors. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong or dangerous about the added ingredients, I just don't get it.
All that aside, this contains a recommended dose of biotin and a reasonable price. The capsules are a bit long but they go down without a problem.
I believe its the Biotin that is good for your hair, and the Horsetail herbs that your hair grows fast from, so this makes a good combination.
While I was satisfied with the supplement I was using, it had the drawback that it was packed with vitamins. This would not be a bad thing if I wasn’t also taking a multiple vitamin supplement and an eye-care supplement. I was afraid that I was getting too much duplication (even though most of them are water-soluble). Still, when I saw that this brand came with herbs and other natural products, I thought this would be a good thing.
Maybe it is but, still, I’m somewhat confused by the assortment. Now that I have it here I decided to look up what each of the line items does. None of them specifically target hair, nails, or skin (although some do have specific bone benefits). The reason I’m somewhat concerned (not grievously since they are all at low doses) is that, like everything you take, there are pluses and minuses.
For example: large doses of green tea could cause liver damage; horsetail might cause hypoglycemia in diabetics and (since it can act as a diuretic) it could flush potassium from the body; dandelion root can affect how drugs (common ones like Tylenol and Lipitor) are metabolized by the liver; gotu kola is one of those Chinese-medicine herbs that is credited with a million possible uses but I didn’t see the relevant ones listed. It also can negatively impact those who already have liver disease.
Another consideration is that, like most adults, I take prescription medications for various conditions. The more substances I ingest, the greater the possibility of interactions.
My issue is not that I think that, at these levels, they are potentially harmful but rather that I don’t see the logic for including these in the mix and why take products that you neither need nor understand and which, under some conditions, might even do more harm than good.
